3.4-magnitude quake rocks Surigao del Norte
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.4 earthquake hit Surigao del Norte on Wednesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has reported.
According to Phivolcs, the temblor struck 29 kilometers (km) southeast of General Luna, Surigao del Norte, at 9:57 a.m.
The quake, which was of tectonic origin, had a depth of 6 kilometers.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks or damage could be expected from the tremor. /muf
