Better weather seen as LPA dissipates

MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area off Eastern Samar, former Tropical Depression “Amang,” is likely to dissipate in the next 12 to 24 hours, the state weather bureau said Wednesday. 

The LPA was last spotted 55 kilometers northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

The northeast monsoon continues to affect Luzon and Visayas. 

The Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with light rains. 

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon; Visayas and Mindanao will have fair weather with chances of isolated light rain. /cbb
