LEGAZPI CITY—A suspected drug pusher was killed in an anti-drug operation in Sta. Elena town in Camarines Norte on Sunday night, police said.

Rufo Tioson of Bacoor City, Cavite, an alleged drug peddler operating in Sta. Elena sold suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover policeman along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Tabugon around 9:15 p.m., said Bicol police spokesperson Chief Insp. Maria Luisa Calubaquib.

He resisted arrest and fired at the policemen, forcing them to shoot back, hitting the suspect.

Recovered from Tioson were three sachets of shabu with a street value of P20,000. MAR S. ARGUELLES /lzb
