Indian money caliber lender gunned down in Isabela

MANILA, Philippines—An Indian moneylender was gunned down Wednesday by two still caliber motorcycle-riding men in Isabela province, police said Thursday.

Police Officer 1 Mario Adellera, a Santiago City police investigator said the victim, Shander Subhas, 37, was collecting payment in front of Mila Saranillas’ Store when he was shot several times in the back by the men, who were on board a motorcycle.

Adellera said that Subhas was a resident of Purok 3, Barangay (village) Rosario in Santiago City.

Two spent shells were taken from the victim’s body while seven other slugs from a .45-cal. pistol were recovered from the crime scene, Adellera said.

No suspect or suspects have been arrested so far.—Jamie Marie Elona
