Magnitude 5.2 earthquake jolts Cagayan

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 5.2 earthquake jolted Cagayan province Thursday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

In its initial earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake’s epicenter was traced  5.2-magnitude earthquake jolts Cagayan127 kilometers (km) south of Santa Ana, Cagayan at 8:22 p.m.

The earthquake, of tectonic origin, had a depth of 19 km.

Phivolcs said no aftershocks and damage are expected. / gsg
