12 drug suspects fall in Makati buy-bust, P200K shabu seized

MANILA, Philippines — Twelve drug suspects were arrested on Monday night during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Bangkal in Makati City.

The Makati City Police Station identified the arrested suspects as Francis Pestanas, 29; Lexter Raguro, 45; Binoy Martin, 42; Gina Paderes, 43; Carter Rasping, 30; Michael Malano, 30; Ariel Doralta, 33; Lorein Pabanil, 24; Allan Paderes, 43; Romie Palon, 34; Eduardo Faguro, 55; and Elaiza Estacio, 27, most of whom are residents of Brgy. Bangkal in Makati City.

The operation was conducted around 9 p.m. Monday along Mascardo St. Brgy. Bangkal, according to the police report.

Police said they have seized 23 large plastic sachets of crystal meth or “shabu” worth P200,000, one small plastic sachet of suspected cocaine, several drug paraphernalia, one weighing scale, four cellphones, from the suspects along with the P500 marked money used in the bust.

Police Supt. Rogelio Pablo Simon of the Makati Police Station told INQUIRER.net that the suspects are still undergoing medical checkup and booking procedures before being detained at the Makati Police Station.

Charges for selling and possession of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being prepared against the suspects, police said.  /muf
