RnW rips Cobra in PBA D-League
JIM Viray scattered 23 points yesterday adorned with six triples in the second half as RnW Pacific Pipes downed Cobra Energy Drink, 74-59, in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the San Juan gym.
The Steel Masters took control in the second quarter where they led by as many as 12 points but needed a 13-2 run in the last five minutes to put away the Iron Men and nail their fourth win in seven games.
The win kept the Steel Masters’ playoff bid alive but getting there would not be easy. Pacific Pipes winds up its elimination round assignment against NLEX, Freego Jeans and Blackwater.
Raymond Ilagan scored 14 points and had 13 rebounds while Virgil Buensuceso added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Steel Masters.
Jam Cortes and Ebrahim Enguio scored 16 points apiece for Cobra Energy Drink which remained winless in seven games. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
