MRT-3 suffers 2nd glitch on Sunday afternoon, unloads 350 passengers
MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit line 3 (MRT-3) suffered a second glitch as one of its trains unloaded 350 passengers on Sunday afternoon.
In an advisory, the management said that passengers disembarked at the northbound section of Ortigas Station at 2:34 p.m.
The management also noted that the glitch was due to an electrical failure in its motor caused by worn-out electrical sub-components like the main chopper, regulator, and insulator.
Affected passengers were immediately loaded into a different train a minute after the incident.
The first unloading incident happened at the southbound section of Kamuning Station at 6:27 a.m.
