WATCH: Black Nazarene devotees arrive for blessing, parade of replicas
MANILA, Philippines – A number of devotees of the Black Nazarene started to flock to the Quiapo Church in Manila early Monday morning for the blessing and parade of replicas.
As of 5:30 a.m., devotees gathered along Carlos Palanca in Quiapo with replicas of the Black Nazarene statue.
The parade and blessing of replicas are part of the celebration for the festivities which will culminate in the procession of the image of the Black Nazarene on Wednesday, January 9.
Aside from the sea of devotees on January 9, thousands are also expected to participate in the replicas procession.
The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit is advising the public to take alternative routes as some roads would be closed to give way to the procession. /cbb
