MPD issues advisory on road closure, traffic rerouting on Jan. 7

MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Police District (MPD) Traffic Enforcement Unit on Friday released a traffic advisory to make way for the “blessing and replica procession” on January 7.

MPD said the following roads will be closed from 11 a.m. onwards:


-Southbound lane of Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo from A. Mendoza/Fugoso to Plaza Miranda

-Westbound lane of España Boulevard from P. Campa to Lerma Street

MPD advised vehicles coming from España Boulevard going to Roxas Boulevard/South Pier Zone/Taft Avenue to turn right on P. Campa St., then go straight to Fugoso St.

Meanwhile, vehicles using Quezon Boulevard coming from A. Mendoza Street should turn right on Fugoso St., then left on Rizal Avenue.

MPD noted that the closing and opening of roads will be based on “actual traffic condition.” /ee
