‘Amihan’ to affect parts of Luzon, Visayas — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or “Amihan” will continue to affect parts of Luzon and the Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Tuesday.
In its 7 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau reported that due to the northeast monsoon, moderately cloudy to cloudy skies and light isolated rains are expected over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and Aurora.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies with light to moderate rains will prevail over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan and Aurora due to the northeast monsoon.
The state bureau also noted that “strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and in Aurora Province.”
“The coastal waters will be rough to very rough,” it added. /ee
