MANILA, Philippines —President Rodrigo Duterte condoled the bereaved family of businessman Victor Almeda Consunji, who died on Thursday.
He was 68 years old.
Duterte visited the wake of the late businessman at the San Antonio Forbes Chapels in Parañaque City on Friday night.
Consunji served as DMCI Holdings director and Semirara Mining and Power Corp. (SMPC) president and chief operating officer.
He was also president and chief operating officer of SEM-Calaca Power Corp. and the Southwest Luzon Power Generation Corp.
The country’s largest coal producer disclosed Consunji’s death to the stock exchange on Friday.
On Friday night, Duterte also visited the wake of Surigao del Sur Governor Vicente Pimentel Jr.
