3 drug pushers fall in Lucena drug bust

LUCENA CITY, Philippines – Police arrested three suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation here early Friday.

Local drug enforcement unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority (PDEA) agents nabbed Norly Patiam, Isagani Pacheco and Allan Penis after they sold shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay Cotta around 1:30 a.m., said a report from Supt. Reydante Ariza, Lucena police chief.

Police seized from the suspects six plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 1.54 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P2,849.

Police added that the suspects, all newly identified drug pushers in the village, were placed under surveillance after former drug dependents and rehabilitated pushers informed authorities about their alleged illegal activities. /muf
