Rudolph, Santa Claus’ favorite reindeer, may expect to have his name on the naughty list this year.
A woman disguised as the famous red-nosed reindeer was caught stealing some items from an unnamed business establishment. The actual crime happened last Tuesday, Dec. 18; her act was caught on a video posted on Facebook by the Fort Collins Police Services in Colorado, United States last Sunday, Dec. 23.
The footage caught the woman wearing a Rudolph mascot mask and a backpack, as she entered the room. She later took off her disguise for a while, but put it back on as she stole the items.
In posting the video, police even revised the lyrics of Jackson 5’s “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer” to describe the crime:
Rudolph the Red Nosed Burglar
Had a very shady scheme
And if you saw the video
It would want to make you scream.
All of the other burglars
Used to steal without disguise
They weren’t like this Rudolph
She’s different from the other guys.
On one foggy December eve
Rudolph came to steal.
Broke into a Hickory shop,
Never expected to see a cop.
Oh how the camera caught her
As she committed burglary
Rudolph the Red Nosed Criminal
We need your help with her I.D.
“If you have any info about this incident or know [the] suspect’s identity, let us know so we can notify St. Nick,” the post read, with the viral video having garnered around 23,000 views, as of this writing. JB
