MANILA, Philippines — The man arrested for detonating a molotov outside the GMA-7 office in Quezon City said he just wants to get “enough” attention from a public service program of the network.
A report from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Wednesday showed that suspect Lawrence Emongos, 38, from Baragay 35 in Maypajo, Caloocan, went to the station to air his concern before GMA-7’s Imbestigador ng Bayan.
However, he was allegedly not satisfied with the attention given to him, prompting him to create a commotion outside the building.
Police also said Emongo’s medical examination revealed he was under the influence of alcohol when he set off the bomb along GMA drive in Barangay South Triangle on the afternoon of December 25.
According to operatives from the Kamuning Police Station, Emongos had in his possession a total of three molotov cocktails of gin, cloth wicks, and kerosene during his arrest.
