One man from Luoyang, Henan in China bided his time and waited almost 20 years to exact revenge on his abusive former teacher from high school.
The man, who was only identified as Chang, has since been arrested for the alleged attack. He apparently admitted to being the person in a video showing a man beating an older man; the video has recently circulated on Chinese social media, as per South China Morning Post on Dec. 20.
In the video, Chang can be seen approaching an older man, his teacher Zhang, riding a moped. He then asked Zhang, “Do you remember me?” before continuously slapping him on the head and the face.
The assault, as per the report, lasted around 20 minutes. Zhang did not fight back and only kept apologizing to Chang in the duration of the attack.
A man claiming to be Chang took to a Chinese online forum last Dec. 19 where he admitted to the attack, which was apparently committed and recorded last June. But he maintained he was not the one who spread the video online.
“I would like to apologize to all teachers, except Zhang,” the person was quoted as saying.
Zhang, now 50 years old, was Chang’s English teacher in second year high school. Zhang allegedly made Chang kneel and kicked him on the head “at least 10 times” after catching him sleeping in class one time. Cody Cepeda/JB
