Quiapo, San Miguel areas hit by power outage on Christmas Day

MANILA, Philippines — Portions of Quiapo and San Miguel in Manila were hit by power interruptions on Christmas Day, the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) said on Tuesday.

In an advisory posted in its Twitter account, the Meralco said that the some areas in San Miguel and Quiapo experienced a power interruption that started at 8:06 a.m.

The cause of the interruption was due to the emergency line trouble that was monitored by the company.

Estimated end of the power outage is at 12:06 p.m. this Tuesday.

Meralco then apologized to its customers for the inconvenience that the interruption might have caused. /je
