18 nabbed in Makati drug raid
MANILA, Philippines — At least 18 drug suspects were arrested in a single buy-bust operation on Friday night at Barangay Pio del Pilar in Makati City.
Authorities said the operation conducted at the Barocan Compound on P. Medina Street led to the arrest of the following:
1. Jonathan Icaro, 29, single, vendor, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
2. Rafael Reyes, 47, single, driver, from Brgy. Sta Cruz, Makati
3. Enrique Icaro, married, jobless, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
4. Jonathan Servantes, single, vendor, from Cabuyao, Laguna
5. Agnes Cagang, 24, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
6. Mary Jane Albero, 33, single, jobless, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
7. Jennifer Vasquez, 27, single, jobless, from Sampaloc, Manila
8. Mark Alfred Pangilinan, 25, single, construction worker, from Lubao, Pampanga
9. Roldan Absurda, 26, single, jobless, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
10. Joshua Clet, 30, single, dispatcher, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
11. Ely Aton, 48, single, electrician, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
12. Molen Gilla, single, jobless, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
13. Ocol Neri, 38, single, jobless, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
14. Arnold Cane, 30, single, pedicab driver, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
15. Reynaldo Serrano, 50, married, driver, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
16. Mark Anthony Lopez, 26, single, Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
17. John Mar Valeriano, 26, single, dispatcher, from Brgy. Sikamas, Makati
18. Jojit Alcovendas, 32, single, vendor, from Brgy. Pio Del Pilar, Makati
Police seized 18 sachets of shabu, different drug paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money used to buy the illegal substances.
The suspects were subjected to medical examinations, and will be turned over to the Makati Police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit.
Article continues after this advertisementAll 18 will face charges for violating Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), 7 (Employees and Visitors of a Drug Den), 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), and 13 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs in Parties) of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
