MANILA, Philippines – Majority of banks will be closed nationwide for the celebration of Christmas and New Year.
In separate advisories, the country’s major banks have set the following schedules for the holiday season:
Bank of the Philippine Islands
December 25, 30, 31, and January 1 – Closed, all branches
BDO Unibank
December 25, 30, 31, and January 1 – Closed, all branches
Metrobank
December 24, 25, 30, and 31 – Closed, all branches
Philippine Savings Bank
December 24, 25, 31, and January 1 – Closed, all branches
Security Bank
December 25, 31, and January 1 – Closed, all branches
The automated teller machines (ATMS) of these banks, however, will remain available for their customers even during the holidays. /kga
