Almost P500k of ‘shabu’ seized in Parañaque bust

MANILA, Philippines — Almost P500,000 worth of illegal drugs was seized by authorities in a drug operation in Parañaque City Tuesday evening.

In a joint operation by the police and agents from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), they arrested one female drug suspect identified as Jasmine Utto, 20

However, her two other cohorts Nasser Gandawali and a certain “Tamy,” managed to escape during the buy-bust operation.

Police recovered three pieces of plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth P450,000 and one caliber Parabellum Pistol with one magazine and three pieces of live ammunition.

The police said the suspects are included in the drugs watchlist.

Seized drugs will be submitted to SPD-Crime Laboratory Office for “laboratory examination and proper disposition.”

Utto will be facing a complaint for violating Republic Act (R.A.) No. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA No. 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.  /muf
