5-year-old boy needs P92,000 for chemotherapy

JUSTINE Capote’s parents are racing against time to save him from acute leukemia.

Romeo and Elsie told the Inquirer in a letter that they need to work double time to raise enough money for their five-year-old son’s treatment.

Justine needs to undergo 10 cycles of chemotherapy over the next 10 months. Each cycle costs P9,200.

“His next therapy will be on June 30 but my husband’s earnings as a horse caretaker are not enough to buy medicines for my son. Justine’s medicine costs P75 a day,” Elsie said in Filipino.

She added that because of his ailment, Justine would not be able to start kindergarten this year.
