CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga–Crimes in Central Luzon have gone down by 22 percent based on a week-to-week period from November 26 to December 2, and December 3 to 9, said Chief Supt. Joel Coronel, Central Luzon police director on Saturday (Dec. 15).
Among the crimes which were reduced were cases of rape, murder, homicide, robbery, physical injuries, and theft, including stealing of cars and motorcycles, Coronel said during a weekly meeting of the regional oversight committee on enhanced management of police operations.
He reported a crime clearance efficiency of 72.31 percent and crime solution efficiency of 45.5 percent.
Coronel asked local officials to help improve community collaboration with the police to prevent crimes in the region. TONETTE OREJAS
