Fire hits Quezon City bungalow

MANILA, Philippines — One person was reported injured after a fire hit a bungalow in Quezon City Tuesday morning, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

According to BFP Inspector Rosendo Cabillan Jr., the fire started at the attic of the bungalow located at Giraffe St. Green Meadows Subdivision in Barangay Ugong Norte in Quezon City.

The blaze left 55-year-old Merrian Vargas with first degree burns in her right arm. No other casualties were reported following the fire incident.

The fire started at 4:07 a.m. It the was then declared fire hour at 5:30 a.m.

Damage caused by the fire was estimated at P500,000, the BFP said.  /muf
