Regine Velasquez leads performers in Gabay Guro festival in Navotas
Gabay Guro, a project of PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) and the PLDT Managers Club Inc. (MCI) that aims to support and honor teachers through scholarship grants, training, livelihood, housing, among other programs, is now on its 11th year.
Its success goaded PLDT chair Manny V. Pangilinan to suggest bringing it to more provinces in the country.
Gabay Guro Foundation chair Chaye Cabal-Revilla proceeded to mobilize her team of volunteers to Agusan, Bulacan and Bataan to conduct trainings and workshops.
To cap a fruitful 2018, Revilla announced that on Dec. 6 Gabay Guro’s teacher festival would go to Navotas to spread early holiday cheers to the teachers.
The event will be held at the Navotas Sports Complex.

Introduced last September at the MOA Arena grand gathering, the innovation pillar will equip teachers, school leaders, school staff and other stakeholders with an empowering innovation mindset meant to connect schools, industry and communities.
Pangilinan said: “We believe in what Gabay Guro stands for. We give our all to make our teachers feel special, but at the end of the day, we are the ones who feel more blessed.”
