1 dead, 18 others hurt in Batangas road mishap
One person was killed while 18 others were injured after a driver lost control of his van’s wheels due to a flat tire in Lipa, Batangas on Monday morning.
An incident report from the Calabarzon police showed that a Nissan commuter van (NDS 6161) was ferrying 19 passengers while traveling towards the city of Batangas City when it lost control at around 6:30 a.m.
Maxine Guinevere, the sole fatality from the incident, died on the spot. The driver and its 18 passengers, meanwhile, were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities are still conducting further investigation.
