STA. MARIA, Bulacan – A three-year-old boy was killed when boulders crashed into their house at 3:30 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 30), injuring his cousin and grandmother.
Search-and-rescue volunteers pulled Leonard Dorimon Jr. out of the house at 4 a.m. on Saturday (Dec. 1). He was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.
Teresita Auditor, 60, and Andrea Auditor, 3, were found alive and were being treated at the same hospital, said Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director.
Bersaluna said the house stands beneath an abandoned quarry site in Sitio (sub-village) Gulod at Barangay (village) San Jose Patag.
Leonard Dorimon Sr., 35, the slain boy’s father, said he was outside cleaning his motorcycle when he heard the sound of falling trees. When Dorimon Sr. looked up, he saw huge rocks smashing into their house.
