P13.5-M ‘shabu’ confiscated from San Juan condo of Korean national

Around P13.5 million worth of suspected “shabu” were seized from the condo unit of an arrested Korean national in San Juan City Thursday night.

A police report on Friday said San Juan City Police conducted a follow-up operation on the condo unit of Kim Jeong Hee, who was previously arrested on Thursday in a buy-bust operation.

Police recovered from Kim’s condo unit were two kilograms of suspected shabu, an undetermined number of controlled precursors and chemicals used in the making of “shabu,” several paraphernalia for drug use, three weighing scales, and P450,000 cash.

Earlier, Kim was also arrested in a bust after he yielded 250 grams of suspected “shabu.”

Police then launched a follow-up operation at a parking lot in Pasig City, where several chemicals used for manufacturing “shabu” amounting to P2.2 billion were seized.  /muf
