President appoints Carandang as SC associate justice

/ 05:38 AM November 29, 2018

After six misses, Rosmari D. Carandang has finally made it to the Supreme Court.

She was nominated to the highest court in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and earlier this year—without luck.

On Monday, however, President Duterte picked her to serve as associate justice on the Supreme Court, filling the seat vacated by Teresita Leonardo-De Castro who replaced the ousted Maria Lourdes Sereno as Chief Justice on Aug. 28.
