Retired cop killed in Pasay shooting

A retired policeman was killed after a shooting incident near a mall parking lot in Pasay City on Monday afternoon.

The initial report from the Pasay City Police Station stated that two unidentified men fired at a black vehicle near the MAAX parking area at the SM Mall of Asia around 12:45 p.m.

The two suspects  on board an XRM motorcycle fled towards Diokno Boulevard after the incident.

The front rider was wearing a black jacket while the back rider was wearing short pants, the report noted.

Meanwhile, Police Supt. Noel Flores of the Pasay CPS said the victim, identified as Roberto Razon, a 52-year-old retired Police Chief Inspector who was assigned at the Southern Police District, was rushed to the San Juan De Dios Hospital but was later declared dead.

Authorities said they had alerted all monitoring units in the area and a dragnet has been activated for the possible apprehension of the suspects. /ee
