DID YOU KNOW: 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women

Nov. 25 to Dec. 12 was declared the “18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women” by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo through Proclamation No. 1172 signed on Nov. 17, 2006.

The Philippine Commission on Women, formerly known as the National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women, was tasked to lead, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the nationwide yearly observance. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
