3.9-magnitude quake jolts Davao Occidental

A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Saturday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

In its earthquake information, as of 12:49 p.m., the earthquake hit 43 kilometers (kms) east of Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental.

The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, has a depth of 128 kms.

Phivolcs said there are no expected damage and aftershocks from the quake./jpv
