The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Manila Water Co. Inc. will be conducting road repairs and road re-blockings in some of Metro Manila’s roads this weekend, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced Friday.
In an advisory posted on its official Facebook page, the MMDA said the DPWH and Manila Water will start the repairs at 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23 until 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26 on the following roads:
Southbound roads:
- C-5 Road beside SM Aura (4th and 5th lane from the center)
- C-5 Road before the approach of Pasig Blvd., C-5 flyover
- Edsa Scout Albano near Shell Gasoline Station (beside sidewalk) and Scout Borromeo near GMA 7 (2nd lane from sidewalk)
Northbound roads:
- Edsa in front of Northstar Motor Corp. (1st lane sidewalk)
- Batasan Road near Civil Service Commission Central Office (4th lane from center)
- Mindanao Avenue Mindanao tunnel to Old Sauyo footbridge (truck lane)
Meanwhile, road reconstruction and concreting works will be done on the following roads:
- Quirino Highway southbound from corner of Mindanao Avenue to Villa Sabina (1st lane from sidewalk)
- Mindanao Avenue northbound from Lukara St. to Socorro St. (1st lane from sidewalk)
- Road 10 northbound Visayas Avenue – Road 1 intersection (1st lane from sidewalk)
The Manila Water Co. Inc. will also conduct restoration activities from 10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23 to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26 along C-5 road southbound in front of Mossaico, Solace Spa, Wilcon Depot, and Hyundai Service Center.
The MMDA said all affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m on Monday, Nov. 26. The agency advised motorists to avoid the affected areas and use alternative routes. /muf
