MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared January 24 a special non-working day in the Municipality of Carigara, Leyte in celebration of its 454th founding anniversary.
The founding anniversary is on January 25, which falls on a Saturday, based on Proclamation No. 767.

The Palace said January 24 was declared a special non-working day to allow residents of Carigara town to fully participate in the occasion and to have a long weekend.
Malacañang has also declared the Feast of the Black Nazarene on January 9 a special non-working day in Manila to ensure devotees’ orderly procession and facilitate the traffic flow.
