A 13-year-old student has been arrested by operatives from the Southern Police District (SPD) for his alleged involvement in a robbery-extortion incident in Silang, Cavite.

Meanwhile, four police officers suspected of being involved in the extortion case managed to escape arrest after a short chase along Guyabano Street in Las Piñas City on Tuesday evening.

According to reports from the SPD, they received a complaint from a woman from Barangay Bulihan in Silang that her brother was arrested over drug-related charges.  Police said the arresting polie officers promised to release the suspect after payment for his freedom.
