TWO men were killed in separate shooting incidents in Dalaguete town, southern Cebu.
Gabriel Getutua, a carpenter, was walking home after attending a disco when an unidentified assailant shot him in barangay Ablayan.
Police said Getutua had a drinking binge with friends around 5 p.m. last Saturday.
Getutua then went to a disco after the drinking session.
The man left the disco past midnight and was waylaid on his way home.
Getutua’s relatives went to the police station when he failed to return home.
Accompanied by tanods, the man’s relatives went to the place where the disco was held and later found the carpenter slumped on the ground with a gunshot wound in the chest.
The victim’s backpack containing P2,860 cash was recovered by police.
The killing is still under investigation.
In barangay Tapon, Bonifacio Ruben “Jun-Jun” Dico was shot dead while walking along a road in sitio Sulong-on, barangay Tapon.
Dico suffered a gunshot wound in the neck.
The man was declared dead at the Cardinal Rosales Memorial Hospital.
