Duterte terminates appointments of 3 DSWD execs
President Rodrigo Duterte has terminated the services of three officials from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said Monday.
Medialdea said the President terminated the appointments of Undersecretary for Protective Operations and Programs Group Mae Ancheta-Templa, Undersecretary for Promotive Operations and Programs Group Maria Lourdes Turalde-Jarabe, and Undersecretary for Disaster Response Management Group Hope Hervilla.
“Yes,” Medialdea confirmed in a text to reporters when asked about the termination of appointments of the three officials.
“We expect the new secretary to bring his own team to provide better services to the public,” he added.
Former Army chief retired Lt. Gen. Rolando Bautista is now the secretary of DSWD.
Medialdea said the termination of services of the three officials has nothing to do with their being left-leaning.
