Caraga, Davao Oriental to get rainshowers, thunderstorms
The trough of Tropical Depression “Samuel” will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Caraga and Davao Oriental, according to the bulletin issued at 4 p.m. on Sunday by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
As if 3 p.m., Samuel was located at 875 kilometers southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
It has a maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center with a gustiness reaching up to 65 kph.
It was moving west-southwest at 25 kph.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will affect the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The same conditions will also be experienced by residents of Metro Manila, but it is due to localized thunderstorms. /atm
