OLONGAPO CITY – A bomb threat sent through a social media messaging app on Thursday night disrupted classes in Gordon College.
Police said the threat was sent to one of the school’s professors through Facebook Messenger around 6 p.m., claiming that a bomb was set to explode at the campus that evening.
The school suspended night classes and advised students and employees to leave the premises.
Bomb disposal personnel arrived to inspect all areas in the campus. They left after their search found no explosives there.
It was the second time the school was targeted by a bomb hoax this week, said Ret. Major Philip Bolina, head of the city’s Civil Security Safety Unit.
