Clouds, scattered rain forecast on Sunday
The northeasterly surface wind flow will affect northern and central Luzon while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.
Northern Mindanao, Eastern and Central Visayas, and the Caraga and Davao Regions will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, Pagasa said.
Possible flooding and landslides could be expected in these areas due to possible severe thunderstorms, the weather bureau warned.
Meanwhile, the Batanes and Babuyan group of islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain but due to the northeasterly surface wind flow.
Pagasa said Metro Manila would also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. /cbb
