An 11-year-old boy in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, went for a joyride after his mother took away his PlayStation on Sunday.

The unidentified boy was arrested by the police after he crashed his parents’ SUV, Cleveland.com reported.

After the mother went to bed, she received a call from her husband who told her that he saw the boy driving the car.

The boy’s father tried to chase after him, but the 11-year-old tried to hide by pulling over into a nearby former fire station.

A police officer then saw the vehicle pulling over, thinking that somebody needed help. The boy then sped away, starting a chase. Another officer caught sight of the boy when the former lost track of him.

Police later called off the chase, and the vehicle collided with a parked truck. The boy later walked out of the crashed SUV and collapsed. He was taken to a hospital after sustaining cuts and bruises on his left hand and wrist.

The incident marked the second time the boy stole his mother’s car that later led to a police chase. The report stated that in October 2017, he was waiting for his sister to take him to school when he took his mom’s vehicle for a spin.

The boy suffers from attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder and oppositional defiant disorder. He was later arrested and taken at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center. No formal charges have been made, as of this writing.  Katrina Hallare /ra
