LTFRB starts issuing new fare matrix to jeepney drivers
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued more than 2,300 fare matrices to jeepney drivers on Monday.
Data from the LTFRB showed that a total 2,365 fare matrices were distributed in the National Capital Region (NCR) and in Regions 3 and 4.
The fare matrix shows the newly computed fare structure, following the approval of the P2 fare hike in October.

Without the fare matrix posted inside jeepneys, drivers could not charge their passengers the new minimum fare of P10.
The LTFRB said that if a driver charges the public with P10 without the fare matrix, they would be fined for overcharging their passengers. This is punishable as stated under Joint Administrative Order 2014-01.
