6 hurt as bus crashes into waiting shed in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – At least six people were injured in Garcia Hernandez town after a passenger bus rammed a waiting shed on Monday.

PO2 Kin Virador of the Garcia Hernandez Police Station said that at past 6 a.m. on Monday, a Southern Star Bus (Plate Number 131238467) bound for Tagbilaran City from Talibon town, lost its brakes as it was approaching a waiting shed on West Canayaon in Garcia Hernandez.

The bus crashed into a waiting shed.

At least six bus passengers were rushed to Teodoro Gallagar District Hospital in Jagna town for minor injuries.

The front of the bus was badly damaged, according to Virador.

Virador said driver Rene Ho, 41, a resident of Candijay, Bohol, told police that he lost control due to the heavy rain and slippery road.

The bus driver is now under police custody.
