4 nabbed while sniffing ‘shabu’ in Quezon province
LUCENA CITY – Four drug users were arrested while engaged in a drug session in Tayabas City in Quezon province on Sunday night, police said.
Acting on an information from a concerned citizen, anti-illegal drugs operatives raided the storage room of a handycraft store located inside Green Heights Subdivision in Barangay (village) Lalo around 10:30 p.m., Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director, said in a report.
Arrested were Antonio Pontioso, 53; Crisanto Valdoria, 41; Calatino Jessie Derada, 50; and Aaron De la Cruz, 33, while in the act of sniffing “shabu” (crystal meth).
Authorities seized a plastic sachet of shabu weighing 0.5 grams and sniffing paraphernalia from the suspects.
Report said Pontioso also yielded one unlicensed Armscor caliber .45 pistol loaded with a magazine and two bullets.
Police tagged Valdoria and Derada as drug surrenderers in 2017.
