WOMAN DIES IN ROAD ACCIDENT
A WOMAN was killed while a man was wounded when the motorcycle they rode on rammed a concrete wall in barangay Ward 3-Poblacion, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu, last Thursday dawn.
Police identified the fatality as Angela Aliño of barangay Lahug, Cebu City. The woman was the backrider of a motorcycle driven by Gilbert Tapic, 25, a resident of barangay Tuyan, Naga City.
Aliño was declared dead when she and Tapic were brought to the Minglanilla District Hospital. Tapic was later transferred to a Cebu City hospital.

2 KILLED IN CEBU CITY SHOOTINGS
TWO persons were killed in separate shooting incidents in Cebu City last Friday night.
The motives of the two attacks were still being investigated, said police.
Around 7 p.m., Reynaldo Sabellano, 33, was shot dead by two unidentified men while he was sitting by the road in barangay Pardo.
Sabellano died on the spot with two gunshot wounds in the chest.
The assailants fled after the attack.
About three hours later, a lone gunman waylaid Reynante Famador, 42, in sitio Upper Centro, barangay Pit-os.
Famador was walking home when he was shot. He suffered gunshot wounds in the chest and back./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
