Three individuals were hurt after two buses collided along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) in White Plains, Makati City on Sunday morning.
According to Mary Grace Alfaro of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the incident happened along the northbound section of Edsa at 8:21 a.m.
In a phone interview with INQUIRER.net, Alfaro said that while traveling northbound, the Rainbow Express bus (TXF 723) hit the back portion of a Lucena Line Inc. bus after the latter had a sudden break.
She said that the Rainbow Express city bus had a route going to Fairview while Lucena Line Inc. provincial bus was bound for Quezon province.
The identities of the three injured were not known yet, but they were reportedly rushed to Labor Hospital for medical assistance.
The incident caused heavy traffic along the stretch of Edsa White Plains, but the buses involved in the collision were already removed by the MMDA at 9:02 a.m. /je
