Speeding motorcycle kills Ecija mom, hurts 2 kids

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija – A speeding motorcycle struck and killed a 38-year-old mother and injured her 5-year-old and 8 year-old children along the national road in Barangay (village) La Torre at 12:30 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 2).

Janice Alejo and her children were crossing Maharlika Highway to reach a local mall when they were hit by the motorcycle driven by Baleriano Guillermo who was also hurt along with his unnamed passenger.

They were all rushed to the Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center (PJGMRMC) Talavera Extension Hospital, police said.

But Alejo had to be transferred to the PJGMRMC in Cabanatuan City where she was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.

Alejo and her children are from Sto. Domingo town while Guillermo is from San Jose City. ARMAND GALANG
