The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) will be deploying 434 policemen for this year’s Bar examinations to be conducted on the four Sundays of November (Nov. 4, 11, 18 and 25) at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila.
NCRPO Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar said the deployment of police officers aims to secure the campus and prevent untoward incidents from happening.
“The annual Bar exams are milestones in our yearly calendar. The police will uphold the importance of these days and protect the significance of these days to our country’s judicial system,” Eleazar said in a statement on Saturday.
“We will exhaust all efforts to ensure peace and order for the sake of the examinees and their families.”
Eleazar added they will strictly enforce the ban on alcoholic drinks at the vicinity of the university on all Saturday nights until the following Sunday. Violators of the ban will be brought to police precincts, said Eleazar.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will be assisting the police in managing traffic flow around UST during the examination dates.
