3.7 quake hits Davao Occidental

A magnitude 3.7 earthquake hit the province of Davao Occidental on Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The epicenter of the quake was recorded at 118 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental, according to Phivolcs.

The earthquake that struck at 6:18 a.m. has a depth of focus of 39 kilometers and of tectonic origin.

Phivolcs expected no intensities and aftershocks in the nearby provinces and municipalities.
