The police have recorded a dwindling number of visitors at the Manila South Cemetery as the day progresses on All Souls’ Day, Friday.
Data from the Manila Police District (MPD) showed that a total of 3,950 visitors were inside the cemetery as of 4 p.m., Friday.
Based from the data from MPD, the peak number of visitors inside the cemetery reached 22,232, which was recorded on 12 noon.
The number of visitors has continually declined since then; from 9,211 on 1 p.m., 5,298 on 2 p.m. and 4,348 on 3 p.m.
The number of confiscated items did not increase since this morning, pegging the number on three bladed weapons, three flammable items and three other prohibited items.
The police said the cemetery will close its gates at 7 p.m.
