MPD: Fewer visitors to Manila North Cemetery on All Souls’ Day

There were fewer visitors to the Manila North Cemetery on Friday, All Souls’ Day as compared to All Saints’ Day on Thursday, the Manila Police District (MPD) said.

According to a tally made by the MPD, a total of 85,975 have entered the Manila North Cemetery as of 1 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, nearly 1,061,000 people entered the cemetery at 1 p.m. to visit the tombs of their departed.

Meanwhile, police maintained tight security measures at the cemetery entrance and kept watch for prohibited items such as bladed weapons and flammable materials.  /muf
